The story
Transito is an immersive art installation that was first displayed at Bar Anne, a pop up bar during Salone Internazionale del Mobile (Milan Design Week) in 2018. The installation was designed and realized thanks to the collaboration between various Dutch parties such as Space Encounters and Children of the Light.
The installation was later at display in Amsterdam.
The Transito installation consists of 25 arches that were equipped with 4 pixel controlled LED pixel tapes on all sides. The tapes were placed in profiles with diffuse covers to create smooth color transitions without any hot spots.
The programming was done in a very sophisticated way that created a seemingly endless tunnel of light that plays an important role in the perception of depth.
